David Pfister is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. His musical career began at the age of four when his parents, who were seasoned veterans of the Pittsburgh club circuit of the late 70's and early 80's, purchased him a Casio Portatone and both encouraged and tolerated his resulting sonic experimentations . He picked up bass, guitar, and drums in his teen years and, guided by a rabid appetite for music and a gifted ear, began gigging professionally at age 16. David has an encyclopedic knowledge He's played with the likes of Tarra Layne, Gene Stovall Trio, Olga Watkins Band, Black Coffee, Sister Spike & The Magpies, Bryan Cole, Hermie Granati, Automated Arm, Mirrorball, Stone 66, The Electric Lemonade Stand, Broke, Stranded, & Ugly, and The Jackdaw Boys, and has shared the stage with Bo Burnham, Colt Ford, The Lindells, Irene & Reed, Old North State, and many more.
Dave released his first solo record OMNIVOROUS in August of 2011, an album co-written and co-produced by keyboardist/guitarist Michael Willis, formerly of Pittsburgh's Euphonic Brew. With guru and equipment maven Justin Richert behind the drums, OMNIVOROUS weaves and glides through a multitude of moods and styles while still retaining Dave's signature melodicism and carefully crafted lyrics.
